a9s Parachute
This section documents the a9s Parachute component, its use cases, and its configuration.
The purpose of a9s Parachute is to stop data ingestion as a measure to avoid exposing the a9s Data Services to a full disk, in order to prevent data loss. For this purpose, the a9s Parachute runs on every a9s Data Service Instance. It monitors both the ephemeral and the persistent disk, and as soon as the disk usage exceeds a configured threshold, the a9s Parachute takes predefined actions.
At the time of writing, there are 2 versions available of the a9s Parachute: a9s Parachute v1 and a9s Parachute V2.
Currently, only a9s MariaDB supports a9s Parachute v2.
