  • a9s-pg: a9s PostgreSQL: a9s PostgreSQL 15: Add cluster sync on update, enabled by default. Before the primary node stops for an update, the cluster temporarily replicates synchronously with one standby node to mitigate LSN inversion during failover, and replicates asynchronously again once the updated node is back. For more information, see a9s PostgreSQL - Cluster Sync on Update.
  • a9s PostgreSQL: Add cluster sync on update to a9s PostgreSQL 15 and a9s PostgreSQL 17, enabled by default. Before the primary node stops for an update, the cluster temporarily replicates synchronously with one standby node to mitigate LSN inversion during failover, and replicates asynchronously again once the updated node is back. Existing cluster Service Instances use it from their first update after they run the new release. For more information, see a9s PostgreSQL - Cluster Sync on Update.
  • a9s PostgreSQL: Add the new BOSH property postgresql-ha.cluster.monitoring.cleanup_random_delay_seconds (default 1800 seconds, i.e. 30 minutes) to randomly delay the repmgr monitoring cleanup cron job on the master node, spreading the cleanup load across Service Instances that share the same default cron schedule to avoid synchronized I/O spikes on shared storage. This property can be set to 0 to disable the delay.
  • docs: Platform Operator: a9s PostgreSQL: Document cluster sync on update, its requirements, how to disable it and its known issues. For more information, see a9s PostgreSQL - Cluster Sync on Update.

Removed

  • breaking change all services: a9s Service Broker: Remove the deprecated Service Offering property version. For more information, see UPGRADE.md.
  • a9s LogMe2: a9s Service Dashboard: Remove the non-functional manual backup download button. Backups of a9s LogMe2 are OpenSearch snapshots that are written directly to the backup storage by OpenSearch, so they are not a single downloadable file and the download never produces a usable backup artifact. The creation, listing and restoration of backups is not affected. For more information, see a9s Backups and Restores Considerations.
  • a9s Search: a9s Service Dashboard: Remove the non-functional manual backup download button. Backups of a9s Search are OpenSearch snapshots that are written directly to the backup storage by OpenSearch, so they are not a single downloadable file and the download never produces a usable backup artifact. The creation, listing and restoration of backups is not affected. For more information, see a9s Backups and Restores Considerations.
  • docs: Platform Operator: Remove a9s Search 1 from the a9s Data Service Release Lifecycle Table, as the Data Service version is no longer supported. For more information, see a9s Platform Operator Sunrise Sunset - a9s Data Service Release Lifecycle Table.
  • docs: Platform Operator: a9s Service Broker: Remove the Service Offering property version. For more information, see Getting Started - Service Catalog - Service Offerings.

Fixed

  • a9s Billing: Fix duplicate billing entries caused by switching from using Cloud Foundry CAPI v2 to CF CAPI v3. This issue was due to the fact that Cloud Foundry changed the response in its CAPI v3 for app usage events which led to running apps being billed incorrectly. To correct events from affected days starting at the first v3 event onward, see UPGRADE.md.
  • a9s Search: a9s Backup Agent: Fix the reported backup size, which was always 0 B, to show the actual size of the OpenSearch snapshot. Backups created before this update keep their previously reported size of 0 B.
  • docs: Platform Operator: Fix the Ops files in the "Rotate Consul Certificates" administrative task. Add the missing ssl_ca replacement for the dnsmasq in the consul-dns Ops file, and rename the outdated service-dashboard to public-api in the data-services Ops file and its accompanying description. For more information, see a9s Data Services Administrative Tasks - Rotate Consul Certificates.
