a9s Redis®

a9s-redis-image

This documentation describes the a9s Redis®[^*]. a9s Redis® enables on-demand provisioning of Virtual Machine (VM) based, dedicated Redis® servers. Developers can create instances of a Redis® server using Apps Manager or the Cloud Foundry Command Line interface (cf CLI) and bind these instances to an application.

caution

The a9s Redis® Data Service has been deprecated and will be finally removed in the upcoming release v76 (expected end of August). The Data Service should not be used anymore and all existing Service Instances should be migrated to the supported Data Service a9s KeyValue.

info

The Redis vendor names the node roles primary and replica for clustered instances. In this documentation, the node roles are referred to as primary and secondary to align with the terminology used for all a9s Data Services.
